Teneo appoints Michael Spahn as a Senior Managing Director with Herter & Co. in Frankfurt
January 1st, 2026 – Frankfurt – Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Michael Spahn as a Senior Managing Director with Herter & Co. in Frankfurt, part of Teneo’s Financial Advisory business. Michael will lead the Infrastructure Debt practice at Herter & Co. – Teneo Capital Advisory, while also supporting the continued growth of Teneo’s Financial Advisory business in Europe. He is joined by a team of professionals with experience across leading infrastructure debt providers.
For more than 20 years, Michael has been active in German and international corporate financing and advisory. Prior to joining Herter & Co., he spent over 11 years at ING Bank, where he scaled and led ING’s German Public Sector business for eight years. Most recently, Michael managed a loan portfolio of EUR 5 billion while advising leading energy companies.
Earlier in his career, Michael was a Senior Project Manager, Loan Origination, at SEB AG and an Assistant Director of Corporate Finance advisory at Deloitte. He began his career with Dresdner Kleinwort.
