Herter & Co. advises TRIMET Aluminium SE on the introduction of an ESG-linked syndicated loan

For the fourth time, Herter & Co. has advised TRIMET Aluminium SE on the renewal and amendment of its syndicated loan. The new syndicated loan amounts to €250m and could be arranged at attractive conditions.

The renewed and amended syndicated loan facility is provided by a club of ten banks. For the first time, an ESG-linked syndicated loan was structured reflecting TRIMET’s ongoing commitment to sustainability. Margins are linked to the achievement of specified sustainability goals.

With about. 2,300 employees and an annual production capacity of 765kt, the TRIMET Group is the largest producer of aluminium in Germany. In the fiscal year 2020/21, the Company generated revenues of ca. €1.5bn.
